Christine Drummond – Franco-Brazilian Contemporary Oil Painter
Christine Drummond is a Franco-Brazilian contemporary oil painter known for vibrant palette knife paintings inspired by the joy, the color and movement of Brazil. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, she continues to draw inspiration from the city’s vibrant energy, rhythm and cultural richness.
Her paintings are known for their bold palette knife technique, textured surfaces and luminous colors. Through expressive layers of paint, she creates dynamic compositions that bring warmth, vitality and optimism to life.
Christine began painting in 2000, first using brushes before discovering the freedom and power of the palette knife. In 2004, after encountering the work of renowned Ghanaian artist Professor Ablade Glover at Chicago O’Hare International Airport, she embraced the technique that would become central to her artistic language.
In 2009, Christine had the privilege of painting alongside Professor Ablade Glover in his studio in Accra, Ghana — a meaningful milestone in her artistic journey.
Today, her paintings are held in private collections across Europe, the United States, Australia and Brazil, and have been exhibited in cities including Paris, London, Monte Carlo, Sydney, Brussels, Indianapolis, New York and São Paulo.
